Landfill recultivation

Subjects of recultivation are in particular industrial and municipal waste landfills. The following methods are used during the recultivation of municipal solid waste landfills: modification of the shape of the landfill to the suitable morphology (slope stability, drainage of rainwater from the landfill body), landfill gas separation (off-gas extraction, drains, layers or a combination of all three), landfill lining (mineral sealing, bentonite matting, geo-membranes or a combination of all three), technical recultivation (laying and compacting layers of soil above the landfill lining), drainage (canalization of drainage of rainwater from the landfill body), final biological recultivation (grass covering, plating of bushes and tress).
